Chambers success
The firm has once again been ranked at Band 1 by Chambers and Partners 2021. The researchers noted the firm’s outstanding reputation for family law as ‘a leading outfit with an expert team’ ‘well versed in family law litigation’ and as having ‘experience acting before local courts and the High Court in complex and high-stakes cases’.
The team has been described this year as “phenomenally brilliant, compassionate and calm” and was praised for their ability to “just get things done”.
Senior partners Lisa Jones and Claire Nickolds have once more been recognised as leading individuals for family law in the region. Claire is acknowledged as a “talented lawyer” who “brings huge experience to her cases”, while Lisa has “market leading experience” and is “excellent”.
Gemma Irving is also singled out for her expert handling of financial remedy matters and Children Act proceedings including cases with sensitive issues. A client noted “I always trusted her instincts and advice and felt she had my best interests at heart”.
This ranking follows on the heels of our similar ranking by the Legal 500 and our listing in The Times “Best Law Firms 2021” and cements the firm’s position at the forefront of family law.
