Helen Mead

Solicitor

Helen advises on all aspects of family law, including divorce and the financial consequences of relationship breakdown, pre and post-nuptial agreements, disputes relating to children, domestic abuse and cohabitation disputes.

Helen has a particular interest in cases with an international element and has dealt with cases involving overseas divorces and cases where one of the parties lives outside the UK. She is experienced in dealing with complex children matters where domestic abuse and alienation are alleged and is adept at handling intractable disputes between parents.

Helen approaches clients with warmth and empathy, she is pragmatic and will always strive to avoid costly court proceedings. However, she is experienced in litigation and competently guides her clients through the court process.

Helen qualified as a solicitor with a ranked Legal 500 London law firm in 2020 and joined Jones Nickolds in July 2026.

Before becoming a solicitor Helen worked in the charity sector and she retains a passion for access to justice.

Memberships

Helen is a member of Resolution, the association for family lawyers who are committed to resolving conflict in a non-contentious manner and passed the Resolution family law accreditation exam in 2025. Helen is a Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer for 2026.
